Introduction to Mindfulness
Introduction to Mindfulness
“It is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in this broken world.” Mary Oliver
Register today and join us for a four-week Introduction to Mindfulness Group
Beginning Wednesday, October 15th. Mindfulness is the practice of moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surroundings, through a gentle, non-judgmental lens. This is an opportunity to practice greater awareness that helps us interrupt negative thought patterns and navigate difficult emotions that arise within us all. Together, we will cultivate mindfulness to manage stress, develop flexibility in the face of uncertainty and fear, learn how to respond rather than react to the challenges of life, and increase emotional resilience and joy. Participants will be introduced to several different mindfulness practices and provided with recordings for at-home use as they learn to bring mindfulness into activities of daily life. This program is appropriate for those new to mindfulness practice, as well as those with an established practice looking to come back to basics in a supportive, non-judgmental community setting. We are always beginners when we sit with an open mind and open heart.
